The information regarding COVID19 continues to change daily, this communication provides an update regarding our operational status.
Amid widespread social and economic uncertainty driven by the global health crisis, the food service industry is facing unprecedented challenges, and Russell Hendrix continues to assess the impact that the Coronavirus has had on our Company and our industry. In a few short months, we have transitioned from a strong industry to one experiencing significant reductions in all food service operations and in many cases total shutdown of businesses.
Unfortunately, the uncertainty of the lasting social and economic impact continues for all food service operators and for all equipment and supplies providers, like Russell Hendrix. Given the current environment and the expectation for a slow recovery we must continue to closely monitor our operations and adjust them accordingly.
After careful consideration, we have made the decision to not reopen the following showrooms:
- Abbotsford, BC
- Sault Ste. Marie, ON
- Kingston, ON
- Brockville, ON
For our valued customers in these markets, we are forever grateful and recognize your commitment, support and dedication in the creation and success of Russell, Hendrix, and the combined Russell Hendrix in these regions, and you can remain confident that your RH Sales and Parts+Service teams will continue to support you and your business. Your RH experience may be evolving, but we're still committed to every customer across Canada, and are confident our partnership with you will grow, improve and we can help streamline the way we do business together. To assist you through this transition, please see “Your Changing RH Experience” below.
We are also re-strategizing our physical presence in:
- Regina, SK
- Montreal, QC
Over the next several months we plan to exit our current facilities in these cities and will be looking for more suitable locations for these strategic showrooms. Again, we stress that our customers in these regions can rest assured that your RH Sales and Parts+Service teams will continue to support you. We will keep you informed on updates to the situations in each of these markets.
The Coronavirus pandemic has changed our industry for the foreseeable future and its impact has forced us to change our company. We are truly grateful for all our industry and customer partners for their continued support and understanding.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Tom Pitera

March 19, 2020
Amid widespread social and economic uncertainty driven by the global health crisis, the food service industry is facing unprecedented challenges. In just weeks, we have transitioned from a strong industry to one experiencing significant reductions in all food service operations and in many cases total shutdown of businesses. As organizations like Russell Hendrix take actions to slow the spread of COVID19 and provincial governments mandate restrictions on business operations and outright business closures, our team members, customers and communities are being gravely impacted. Unfortunately, these changes continue to evolve by the hour and as they become more widespread, the social and economic uncertainty increases for all food service operators and for all equipment and supplies providers, like Russell Hendrix.
During these difficult times, the health and safety of our team members, customers and suppliers remains our number one priority. Even as concerns continue to mount regarding the spread of COVID19, Russell Hendrix is committed to supporting our customers by having our sales teams available to handle your needs and ensuring that our distribution centers are available to ship and deliver the products you require. Under these unique and challenging circumstances, we are looking to implement changes to improve the ways that we can service you by creating a safe environment using the following:
- Visit RussellHendrix.com as our website has a great selection of products that can be ordered and shipped to your facility.
- You can talk directly via live chat with one of our customer service representatives during business hours to address any questions you may have.
- Our Customer Service Desk can be reached at 1-844-656-0303 and a knowledgeable customer service team member is available to help you fulfill your order and answer any questions you may have.
- With the largest equipment and supplies sales force in Canada, Russell Hendrix makes it easy for you to interact with your dedicated sale person. If you don't know who your sales representative is, you can contact the customer service desk at 1-844-656-0303, you can email customerservice@russellhendrix.com or you can visit our website and use our representative finder capability to locate your sales representative.
Unfortunately, due to the health care concerns of COVID-19 and based on federal and provincial mandates, we have decided to temporarily close our showrooms to help “flatten the curve” and possibly prevent the spread of COVID-19. This was not an easy decision; however, we believe this is the right thing to do for our customers, our team members and our communities.
Russell Hendrix has a long history of leading our industry and we will continue to do so as while we face this unique and serious challenge. We are with you and continue to stand with you and together we can get through these difficult times. You have my commitment that Russell Hendrix will do everything possible to make sure we continue to service your needs in a safe manner. I firmly believe that we will get through these difficult days by supporting each other and having faith in one in another. Please be safe and I look forward to continuing to work with each of you in the coming days, weeks and years
Sincerely,
Tom Pitera,CEO
